CHRIS REILLY
Co-founder of KarpReilly, LLC. Former Partner at Apax Partners, L.P. where he led the U.S. Retail and Consumer Group and was a member of the U.S. Operating and Investment Committees. Prior to Apax, Chris was a partner at Saunders Karp & Megrue ("SKM"), a middle market private equity firm with $1.5 billion in capital under management. Chris joined SKM at its inception in 1990, and concentrated on the consumer, restaurant, retail and building products sectors. While at SKM, Chris was a member of the Investment Committee and a member of the Firm’s three-person Management Committee. He is a current member of the board of directors of Z’Tejas, Habit Burger Grill, S.B. Restaurant Co. (Elephant Bar), Norcraft Companies, L.P. , Comark, Inc. and Bob’s Discount Furniture. Past directorships include Advanced Homecare Management (Encompass Home Health), Mimi’s Café, Marie Callender’s, Targus Group International and Performance Inc., among others.
Chris holds a B.S. from Providence College and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He began his career at Bankers Trust in 1984. In 1986, Chris joined Morgan Stanley in the Finance, Administration and Operations Division and later joined the firm’s Merchant Banking department where he was responsible for administration and investor relations for various Morgan Stanley private equity and mezzanine funds.
